2y/o DD taking diaper off in crib

The past couple of days DD has been taking her pants and diaper off in her crib. When I went to get her from her nap yesterday, she was half-naked (still had her shirt on) and of course had peed on the mattress. When I went in to get her this morning, it was the same thing. She says, "diaper yucky - trash."

What can I do about this? Anything?

We have been slowly working on PTing for the past few weeks. Basically, whenever she tells me she has to go, I take her, and she will usually pee (this happens on average 2-3x per week). I tried just putting her in panties, but she pees right through them and keeps on going. I also tried just putting her on the toliet every hour or so, but she won't sit there unless it's her idea to go.

  • Onesie or footie pajamas.

DS will take off his diaper if he can get at it. So I don't let him at it.

I am not even going to contemplate potty training until he's 2.5. It's way too early, and with a new baby coming, there is no way I am throwing pt into the mix, too.

  • Does she have any snap crotch shirts still?  Can she get those off?  If she can't get them off I would keep them on her for now.  I don't have any other suggestions!  Sorry!

  • DD did this, and we just used onesies. ?Eventually she stopped doing it. ?But I got some 24 mo onesies at Carters, they run big, and she was unable to get to it that way. ?The phase lasted about a month. ?Luckily it never happened with poop.
  • S is a "stripper" too! LOL.

    I agree with Lari--feetie pjs. ?

  • DS has to wear his pj's backwards, with the zipper in the back. I can't even do footie pj's because they won't go backwards.

  • Duct tape?  LOL!  I'm only half-kidding.

Rory has been pt-ing for a few weeks now, and I still put her in pull-ups for nap time.  They aren't as easy to get off as a diaper.  Maybe you could try that?  Or maybe try putting her in some kind of one-piece pajamas with a zipper?  Good luck!
