Seriously. DD's bday party is next week and now I have a business trip between now and then. So I have to get the favor bags together asap. The party theme is "Fiesta!." What in the heck kind of things can I stuff the favor bags with besides mini maracas (which I may or may not find at this point)?
I asked my mom and cousins about stuff we had at our own Cuban birthday parties as kids and all they focused on was the food. I need kid-sized tchochkes! My business trip is to Miami, in case you think that helps at all. (Although I won't have tons of extra time to shop while there.)
Re: Need your best stereotypes of Hispanic culture...
Flower hair clips, fun band bracelets in "fiesta" shapes? Sorry, that's all I've got.
Bilingual children's books
Spanish children's Cds'
Anything from Dora: The Target dollar section has a ton of Dora stuff right now
In Miami you can probably buy small bottles of baby/children's splash colognes such as Nenuco or Violetas Francesas
You could bake mantecaditos/polvorones and put a few in a small box or bad
You can make mini flans or ttembleques and give them out as favors.
In Miami you can buy traditional Cuban or Puerto Rican candies and put them in the bags.
One of my cousins suggested this, but I feel like at least one three-year-old would end up drinking the cologne!
