We stopped even discussing girl names when we found out LO is a boy. Our short list isn't even all that short at this point. We have had 3 u/s techs confirm the presence of a penis, so I am pretty confident that our LO is XY, but the name post below got me thinking that maybe we should have a back-up, just in case.

Do you have a back-up name in mind in case your LO ends up being born the opposite sex?

I don't think LO is going to come out a boy...I have been told 4 or 5 different times it's a girl. With that being said, we haven't discussed boy names even further. But I have my favorite boy name that I would use...MH would just have to like it! haha FWIW, my boy name is Andrew (or just Drew) Michael.

We don't have a backup if LO is a girl. Heck, we can barely decide on a boy name.

It's been confirmed a couple times for us, most recently 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty confident he'll be a he.

We are pretty confident our LO is a boy... But if he wasn't, we would just choose to go with our #1 girl name. We had #1 boy and #1 girl names picked out before we found out the gender. If LO was a girl she would have been Olivia Sue.

We had a girls name picked out before we found out, so if DS is actually a DD then we will use that name(although we have no idea on what to use for a middle name).

Nope, no backup whatsoever. Before we found out we were having a boy we had no idea or general direction with a girl name, so if baby turns out to be a girl we'll be in trouble!

When I was getting my spinal before my c-section with DS someone in the OR asked me what I was having, and I said, "a boy...and he better be a boy or we have lots of painting and purchasing to do". Made the OR people laugh.

We dont have a back up - but I did ask them to reconfirm a girl at my growth scan about 6 weeks ago. Seriously, I have no idea what we would do if it was a boy

We already have our first girl name chosen but we truly don't need the back up. Our little guy's favorite thing to do during his ultrasounds is show us his "cash and prizes".

We never 100% settled on a name for a girl - we liked one but again...we KNOW it's a boy...he urinated during one of the US's! They'd have a hard time convincing me it was a girl now!

We are pretty confident that LO is a boy after multiple u/s! But since we were team green for quite a while, we had both a boy name and girl name picked out, so we're covered.

We definitely do not have a boy name as a backup. We couldn't agree on one at all when we were talking about names prior to finding out that we're having a girl. Hopefully she is still a girl when she's born or we're in trouble! And its funny, the other post make me think about the exact same thing!

nope. We stopped talking boy names after we found out she was a she at 12 weeks, from the genetic testing. Then after the numerous ultrasounds (we get them every month) we have no doubt she a girl so we have not even considered it. Girl names were much easier for us. Had she been a boy it would have taken us longer to decide.

I am pretty sure that LO is a girl. But no we dont have a back up in case it is a boy, I figure that we will deal with it then. Besides the name that we have picked out can be either a boy's name or a girls name so we would only have to change the middle name. GL!!!

No, but I had the CVS test so we know without a doubt that it's a boy. I'm relieved that we don't have to think about it...there are too many pretty names to choose from!

we have a small doubt that we're having another girl, that being said, we do not have a backup name lol

well maybe kinda, dh would want to name this one jason if it turns out to be a boy, but i don't agree with that because jacey is our dd's name, which is a feminized version of jason... so to me that's like having two kids with the same name

We always knew a girl would be named "Elli" after my Gram; when we found out we were having a boy, we had a much more difficult time agreeing on a name. We found one we both love - and we are thrilled we are having a boy! - but I do hope the next Baby is a girl so we will eventually have an "Elli," too.

I had the girl name picked out before we found out we were having a boy. So at least we'll be covered there. We got a very clear pic of his goods though, so I'm thinking that chances are pretty slim of him being a her. If, by some chance, he is a girl, then his name will be Olive Jane.
