So let me preface with the fact that I have a dog and love dogs and all animals for that matter, so by saying this im not being heartless or mean.
Yesterday my coworkers dog got hit by a car, very traumatic for him since hes very little (Corgie size). He is fine, no major damage just a little banged up and scared. So she decided when she went home for lunch today that she would bring him to work with her for half a day. Ok fine, its a very small office and were not really busy anyway.
So really all hes doing is laying on the floor and walking to each of us and wanting to be petted. So im petting him and he rolls over to get his belly rubbed....and then I notice he is COVERED in fleas. I immediately stopped petting him but now he is sleeping under my chair. I dont feel like saying anythign cause, I mean he did get hit by a car but this is not a good thing.
If I come home with fleas and they get in my car or in my house or on my dog I dont know what I will do. And with all the baby stuff in the house.....URGH
Thanks for listening, vent over.
Re: Dog at work....vent
Ugh I'd be irritated too.
I just had to do a dose of flea meds last week after my dogs visited my parents and we realized their cats had some...up until this point we've dodged them this year.

I just think it's really inconsiderate to others in the office if she knows.
I hate fleas so at the first sign of one or even an egg we treat our dogs. I think it's harsh to let them run around itching. Maybe she is unaware? That is the only way my dogs would ever have fleas is if I was unaware.

I would actually say something - just say it nicely. Your coworker may not have even noticed the pup has fleas. I don't have a dog so I don't know how quickly they can come on so for all I know it could be something the pup just got today.)
i'd say something too... especially since it's not just affecting you, it's affecting everyone in the office
not to mention, they will just stay in the office. we had some kind of flea problem at an office i worked at and people were getting bit all over their feet an ankles for the longest time
