spider bites and Jessica Biel

Random, I know!

So I've got what appears to be a nasty brown recluse bite on my leg. Going in to the doctor once the nurse calls me back to schedule. That sucker is so swollen and hurts like hell! Poor me! Stick out tongue

And while I'm at home practically dying (totally kidding of course) my husband just called to tell me that he is hitting golf balls with Jessica Biel. Something is wrong with this picture, huh?

Spider bites hurt...I'm so sorry! I hope the doc can give you something to lessen the pain!

That's really cool that DH is with Jessica Biel but where are his priorities?? Golfing with a celeb or taking care of his dying wifey?? GEEZ... Wink Is she sulking about Justin or from what I've read, moving on rather quickly to Bradley Cooper?? Inquiring minds want to know!

You poor thing! DH got a brown recluse bite last August, and wow it was awful. I had to take him to the ER on a sunday morning because he had a crazy high fever, chills and was hurting so bad Sad

I don't want to scare you, but you need to see a Dr fast. There is no treatment, but they will give you antibiotics to stop the infection.

I'm sure he is just stalking her at this point. Wink I think he just happened to be next to her at the driving range and they chatted a bit. I might get a little jealous if they end up actually playing golf together, lol!

Do you know how soon after the bite he started having those symptoms? brown recluses are common around here so I know a bunch of people who've been bit but this is my first (and hopefully last). Everyone is telling me it looks like a brown recluse bite but heck if I know for sure. All i know is I felt a sharp sting yesterday around 1pm, rolled up my pant leg and saw a small bright red spot,looked like a broken blood vessel. I didn't think too much of it until last night when it started swelling and the redness was spreading. Before bed the red area was quarter size, this morning its baseball size and it hurts to walk.

So far the only symptom I have is pain and swelling so I'm not 100% its a brown recluse but it was something nasty!

He got bitten in the afternoon, maybe 4pm. 3 to 4 hours later, he started getting swollen and you could see the little bite mark that was darker than the red swelling all around. That night was when he started gettng a bad fever, and I took him to the ER at 6am. The swelling kept on getting bigger and bigger. They also gave him Vicodin for the pain, and that was just bearable.

Apparently, the intensity of symptoms also depends on whether you are allergic or not. So I hope it doesn't get too bad for you!

I'm going to PM you a picture of the first day after he noticed the swelling. I don't think anyone else would want to see it.

... and seriously, find out who she's dating?! and then maybe your H can get clumsy and smack her in her face with her club.... I hate her constant scowl....and he'd be a news story
