Hello all! We have decided to name our little girl (who is due in a week...) Allyson, but we can't seem to choose a middle name. What middle names would you suggest for the name Allyson?
Love those names! I was going to go with Ann (as it's my middle name, my mom's, her mom's, and it's my great grandmother's first name) but something is holding me back from it.
I have always thought Claire would sound so pretty with it. I also like: Joy, Elise, Quinn, Jane, Ivy, Breanne, Rosalie, Belle, Lorelei, Mae, Maeve, Shea, Iris, Hazel.

Thank you though!
I can understand, I think Allyson Ann is a little...redundant. I like pp's suggestion of Allyson Claire.

I have a good friend who is Allison Ann. I think it's pretty, and I'm a big believer in using meaningful middle names.
Any reason for the 'y' spelling? I think it detracts from the prettiness of Allison.

I disagree with the spelling comment. Allyson is just as pretty. It seems more likely that she will be called Ally with this spelling than with an "i" so that is to be considered.
As for the MN. I love that Ann is a name that is passed down. I'm allllll about meaning so go for it and name her Allyson Ann! Its a great name.

We named DD Allison Reese. I really loved Allison Sofia too but couldn't use it because that would have made her initials A.S.S. Others we considered were -

I spell my name Alison- and have spent many years correcting people's spelling from "Allison".... just something to think about!
Allyson was in our top 3 list of girl names.....I had:
