Obviously the appt with the perinatologist didn't go great today. I have placental failure and will likely be delivering via csection in the next week (no more than a week and a half). I was escorted by a nurse from the perinatologists office to labor and delivery. I'm on constant monitoring, but thankfully can get up to use the bathroom and I'll be able to shower.
I have a follow up with the perinatologist on Thursday and if everything looks the same as today I'll have him Thursday. The silver lining of this all is that I am 31 weeks. So his prognosis is good. And the peri said this is the best outcome that can come from placental failure. Usually fetal death is the outcome. So, we are incredibly blessed that I noticed his extreme decreased movement.
I'm on my phone (h has gone home to get my stuff) so my apologies if there is weird formatting. Please send t&p our way. We'd appreciate them.

Katie,
Thoughts and prayers coming your way, and of course for Baby Gabriel. I'm just happy that you really seem to be with great doctors who are going to take great care of y'all. Keep positive through the challenging times!
Oh my gosh! I am so sorry...
I'm glad that the placental failure was caught early & that you are under monitoring at the hospital & getting the care that you and your LO need. I'm so sorry that you are forced to get a c-section as well and that you will be delivering so early.
Please keep us posted on how you and your LO are doing. You'll definately be in my daily T&P.
