Does anyone NOT do bathtime at night?

I'm thinking of starting to do it after he wakes up from his nap in the afternoon.  At night, he sometimes gets cranky and hates bathtime.  Plus, it takes time away from spending time with his daddy (who's watching little brother while we do bath).  Anyway, for us bathtime isn't really part of our bedtime routine anyway, because we don't do it every night.  DS has eczema and I try not to bathe him every night just for his skin's sake.

  • We use to do bathtime at night when LO was an infant, but we now do a morning bathtime.  It's part of our whole routine in the morning!  Wake up, eat breakfast, play, take bath, play, then lunch.......  Works for us!  GL!

  • my dd loves bath no matter what time of the day. I love getting things done and over with...therefore a lot of times she gets a bath in the late afternoon around 3 or 4 ish.

    Works for us.

  • Our bathtimes vary from day to day ! Sometimes night baths, sometimes afternoon baths...lol. My youngest gets sweaty and spills his milk sometimes so I give them both a bath if one needs it. It's just easier for me.

LO gets a abth every other to every two days. We do it at night b/c that is when we are home. However if we give a bath on Saturday it is usually in the morning after breakfast before her first nap. She loves baths no matter what time of day though.

  • It depends.  During the week, she gets a bath on Sunday, Tuesday, and thursday nights ... but on weekends, she gets one on Saturday morning!

We don't do bathtime at night. We do it in the morning, after breakfast. This is for 2 reasons: 1) DD was getting a "second wind" when I would give her a bath at night and then it took longer to settle her down to sleep and 2) DD sleeps like a maniac so when she wakes up in the am, her hair is standing straight up in the air in every different direction, all knotty, etc...  She needs a bath to get her hair back to normal :)

We just do it at night (not every night) because it works for us. Do whatever fits best into your schedule.
