She caught my stomach bug....poor thing. She hasn't thrown up since this morning and its 1:10 here....would you offer milk or any other food yet? I gave her crackers & cheerios but she didn't eat alot but she was signing "eat".
We dealt with the stomach buggy last week. One morning we woke up to a screaming poop-pocalypse -- everything was covered in diarrhea and DS was inconsolable. Another night, he slept in puke. He didn't stress about that too much though.
I'd hold off on the milk. I only gave DS juice, pedialyte or water for about 3 days for liquids. And we did the BRAT diet. Banana, rice cereal, applesauce and toast. That was all doctor's orders.
Milk and regular meals made the diarrhea/vomiting worse.

Poor baby DD has had a stomach bug since saturday. She hasn't been able to keep any food down. We have been giving her pedialyte, water, and sometimes milk. The milk seems to make her vomit more, but she cries until she gets it which makes her vomit anyway so it's a lose lose situation. She tolerated saltines earlier so hopefully she will get better soon. I hope your little one feels better soon.

Have you called your pedi? I hope your DD feels better....thats awful! I hope hers is just a 24hr thing like mine was on Sunday.

I did finally call today just to make sure they didn't want to see her. As long as she is still wetting her diapers and isn't running a fever then they said she should be fine. We are doing diaper counts and I am home with her today since I caught what she has. My main concern was that she has lost over a pound since I weighed her on May 5th, and that seems like a lot to me for a toddler but the doctor's office thinks she should be ok in a couple days. We'll see though, her pedi is off today and I'm not too fond of the physician covering for him so if she doesn't seem better by tonight I will call her regular doctor in the morning. If it's viral there really isn't anything they can do except let it run it's course. I just worry about dehydration ugh I was not prepared for how much worry comes with having children lol.
Re: DD slept in vomit :(
I wouldn't give milk but I would try pedialyte and crackers and toast.
Hope she feels better
