Evelina, Eva, Eve. That's all I got off the top of my head. I think Evelyn is making a come back though, so if you want to use it I think you'll find it's more modern than you think. I know two little Evelyn's and an Evelina myself. Good luck!
I am guessing we are the Evelina
We also wanted an alternative to Evelyn because it seems to be getting super popular. And I love the nickname Ev/Evie. When I found Evelina, I love it, and I think it is prettier than Evelyn.

Yes, we LOVE the nn Evie and are hoping to find an alternative. Thanks
Evangeline, Evita, or really any name with Ev in it could have the nn Evie.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Honestly, my niece (age 3) is named Evelyn and it never occured to me that it was an old-fashioned name. To me, the "lyn" ending makes it fit right in with Caitlin. I find names like Evangeline more old-fashioned sounding. (And "Eve", while a lovely name, is the oldest female name of the Bible ). So go for Evelyn if you like it!

Evelyn is great! I don't think it's too old fashioned, but does have a sense of nostalgia and sophistication. I know a little girl with this name (shes maybe 2 or 3) as well as a young adult (20ish) and it fits both of them well.

What about Aveline? I think it's very pretty.
