My husband and I were both members of a now-defunct chat room back in 1999. We both were going through rough divorces and had little support. We figured it was safe to pour our hearts out to a new found friend 3000 miles away. He was in York, England and me in Massachusetts. A year later I was on a plane heading to meet him to see if what we thought we felt was real and by the end of the week I was engaged! LOL Total fairy tale and I am still as happy with him now as I was when we first finally laid eyes on each other. We had a long distance relationship for about 3 years before we were finally married and both in Massachusetts but I'd wait for him all over again.. (I know disgustingly sweet hah we are like that still after 9 years of marriage) I do know how lucky I am.

We met in a neurobiology class in graduate school back in 1998 and were livin' in sin for about 5 years before we got married in 2006.
Feeling ok lots of kicks, nothing that DH or the boys can feel yet.
I met DH via MYSPACE back in Dec 2006....Yes Myspace LOL
It just so happened that he was a friend of a friend of a friend. I was board one day so I was just lurking. I noticed that we went to the same Monkees concert back in 1986 at Great Adventure in NJ. (someone had written something on his page about it) So I emailed him, we talked for about a month via the net & the phone. We finally met in person Jan 2007 & the rest is history!

Updates: Baby has been VERY active lately. You can now feel the kicks/movement from the outside. DH hasn't felt it yet. Everytime I try to grab him, the baby stops moving.
QOTW: I was having a party at my house. A friend was party hopping and asked if she could bring a few people with her, which included DH. I joke that he showed up on my doorstep. He says I tracked him down (which I did as soon as the other guests left). We've been together since St. Patrick's Day 2005 and married since June 21, 2008 - coming up on our 3 year anniversary.
Update:
Feeling great, as always. Lots of kicks and activity especially when I am not active. Had my 22 week appointment last week and measured 4 weeks behind, and only have gained 1 pound so far. The dr told me we'd need to do ultrasounds to see if baby is growing right. We did the same with Sarah and she was perfect and a good size when she was born, so I am not worried.
QOTW: We met at a friend's birthday party in San Francisco which is funny, given that DH grew up in Germany and I grew up in Austria. That was in November 2005, got married in August 2007.

QOTW: We met at college. We realized we've known each other since I was 19 and he was 20. Yikes! We met in the TV lounge of our dorm and then again at a party towards the end of our sophomore year. During freshman year (although I didn't immediately make the connection upon officially meeting the next year), I had picked my husband out from the freshman "baby book" as being the guy who I thought was the cutest in our entire class! Guess I got pretty lucky! We've been married for what will be 8 years next month.
I am feeling well for most of the time. The LO is very active, my entire belly moves!!!:)) I love that, but when he decides to kick me in the ribs and the stomack ( which he does often lately) is not as fun:(
QQTW: I decided to go to grad school late (32 years old). So I left Macedonia and came to US to get a PhD in Atmospheric Physics. My DH has had also decided to study late, after years of misbehaving, so we met in the Physics Department as soon as I came here. Shortly after we started dating and 2009 we got married. Now we are both students (hopefully not for much longer) and are expecting our first kiddo:)
Updates: 30 wks as of yesterday .. omg, 10 wks to go! I've been feeling pretty good .. getting used to the finger pricks. I've been getting some strange lower pelvic pains, not sure if it's BH or just LO in a weird position.

How I'm feeling - TIRED still. But I'm very busy at work plus 2 kids already, guess I shouldn't expect anything different.
This pregnancy, I haven't felt pregnant at all... until Friday night. Then major nausea and exhaustion, lasted all weekend. I feel kicks all day while at my desk but no one else has been able to feel anything yet.
Oh and I havent told work yet... ha ha I wonder how long this can last? They do see me everyday! lol

Update: Well, it was one rough Mother's Day for me.. got a violent stomach virus from Bernadette. Stayed home to recuperate today.. much better... but WOW... my whole BODY was sore from the cramping. I almost fainted at one point.. was wild. The little guy inside me seems to be okay.. he's been kicking and moving as usual. I just kept drinking disgusting Gatorade, which is like a miracle drug- despite the taste...was the only thing I could keep down..
Question of the Week:..My hubby and I met on match.com!!! Not kidding... however, we lived parallel lives for many years.. both of us are the same age (now 40) and we both studied in Spain our junior year of college (he in Madrid, me in Sevilla), upon graduating we both did political work (he in IL, me in DC), then I moved to LA to be a teacher and he moved there to go to law school and we lived there for 5 years less than a mile from each other... then in 2003 I moved back to NY... he moved to NY in 2005 and it took MATCH.COM for us to find each other in the heart of Queens, NY. Been together 3 and half years.. married 2 and half.. and almost have 2 kids.
A great side story to this which took me YEARS to understand/figure out... I had gone to a psychic in LA in 2003 to find out if I was going to get my job that I was interviewing for.. and she did tarot cards and proceeded to tell me that "a man here (LA) will be with you there. (NY).." I totally didn't get it until years later when I was telling someone the story of the tarot card lady... FATE.. I suppose??

It's funny b/c I still work in the same hospital and DH was one of the few male RNs and EVERYONE loved him! Now he is a police officer and everyone still asks about him all the time.
feeling ok. tired, sore boobs ... but nothing really to complain about.
dh and i met in an interview ... as in, he was interviewing me for a job! he was my boss for 3 years. when he got a promotion, we went on an official date, and never looked back. that was 10 years ago Wednesday ... been married 5 years.
Update- LO is taking her time dropping. Little bit each day. I have a constant menstral cramp sensation and every now and then stabbing, cramping pains...Contractions? maybe? I have a dr. appointment Thursday and they will do an internal, for what its worth...Nesting kicked in. The fridge got it yesterday, today it was the tools in the closet and getting our extra bedroom ready for my mom when she comes down to help us out.
QOTW- SO and I met on Eharmony! But for a while if anyone asked we said we met through work. He is a PA, I was a drug rep.....
Feeling pretty good these days.. Still no major symptoms. Happy to be edging closer to the end of my first tri..

Update: LO is doing well, I am feeling movement everyday, although some days more than others. Still waiting for DH to feel it, but my dr said he probably wouldn't utnil 26-27 weeks so hopefully soon. This is our first baby and my DH made Mother's Day so special for me and I got a great goody bag of things as well as an email from LO saying that they sent Daddy out shopping since they couldn't be here ( we are team green so we call it LO ).
QOTW - my best friend is married to his best friend so that is how we met. However he was married when we first met, we also walked down the aisle together in our friends' wedding. A few years later, he got divorced and we starting really talking and fell in love. We started dating in Nov 2007 and got married Dec 2009.

surprise for now!
Honestly, I feel drained. I am getting ready to move on top of being pregnant on top of...everything...and I am just overwhelmed. Most people change jobs OR move OR are pregnant OR etc...right now I am doing it all at once and halfway across the world. I am excited about my baby shower on the 22nd AND one of my friends is newly pregnant so now I have apregnancy buddy (yay!). I have noticed that most of my nasty symptoms are lessened...but there is on that I am a little worried about. I seem to have completely lost my appetite. I thought that 2nd trimester it was supposed to pick up?
We met...on the job. He was a new medic in my battalion and I was an S1 clerk. He made it a point to run behind me during company runs to um...watch my butt. I made a point to totally ignore him because I thought he was a complete jerk. A mutual friend of ours came and talked to me...said humor her, give him a chance. She totally talked him up and my response was "but he is OLD!" I was early 20's and he had alreay turned 30. I said FINE...and gave him a chance...and the rest is history. He is the most amazing man I have ever known.
If we have a boy, he is named for our fathers and a friend we lost in IRQ.
Should we have a daughter...she will be named for the wonderful woman who encouraged me to open my eyes and my heart to my lover.

Pregnancy update: Still sick but slightly less this week. Still very tired. Am on antibiotics for a UTI as well uggghhhhh. I cant wait to want to eat again. I have my 12 week ultrasound this Friday and will hopefully see that everything is going well
Pregnancy update: I am going in for my big ultrasound tomorrow. I can't wait to find out what we are having. i wanted a surprise but my DH wanted to know so I decided to find out. now i am excited. with our ds he was a surprised. i loved that. i hope everything goes well tomorrow. been having cramps off and on. i have been working a lot of hours (double shifts lately) so i am really tired.
QOTW: my dh and i met at a friends house. i went out to lunch with some coworkers and got to talking about a big 10 mile race in our area. my coworker started talking about this guy who ran it too. she was like he needs to meet someone. my other coworkers said i should meet him. so my coworker would stop bugging my to go over to her house for dinner. i finally decided to go and we hit it off. I was a little hesitent because he was german and i worked for a german company and the german american relationship was not good at work. but i am so glad i did go. he was so nice. that was sept 05. we married sept 07.
Updates: Measuring 41 weeks now, even though we're only at 37.5. I managed to sit through the 2 hour showing of Thor (yay!) but paid for it the next day. I was stuck in bed pretty much the entire day.
Blood pressure is still in check, no changes otherwise. The OB said that they haven't received written orders from the Peri to induce at 39, so when I go for my NST with the peri Thursday I'll talk to him about it again. Hopefully it was just a paperwork oversight because I am SO ready to get this baby out of me.
OB said that once the written order comes through we can schedule induction at my next appointment Monday (38.5 weeks), providing I don't go into labor before then. I'm doubtful that will happen at this point, even with the walking I did on Saturday, my contractions were totally unproductive.
QOTW: Lets see, back in 1995 us computer geeks used something called BBS (Bulletin Board Services) via MODEM. There were chat rooms and text based computer games (MUDS) that many of us played. Every week, the main board I used had a get together at a local bar. My husband found me crazy, wild and interesting. At the time I was a computer geek by day, UnderGround Dance Club DJ by night. I went to one of the gatherings with one guy, was introduced to my husband while there, and left with yet a different guy. My husband loves to tell that part of the story!
So after we had been introduced we chatted some later that week. He sounded sweet, and was very shy. I asked him if he wanted to take me out, and he did. The date went well, he was in college at the time and working at a grocery store. We played MUDS during the week online and spent weekends together (when I wasn't working at the club, and even sometimes he'd sit in the DJ booth with me at the club). He graduated college, we both settled into our careers, moved in together in 1997 and married in 1998. We had our 13th wedding anniversary yesterday.

Me and DH were both in the hair industry. I went to work in his shop- he was my boss! We were best friends for about 3 years and decided to get married. No courtship or dating. Baby's been staking out room in my rib cage - leaving it hard for me to breathe!! Luckily it's only for fairly short periods of time - but it leaves everyone around me asking if I'm ok because I have to practically pant to breathe!! otherwise he's just kicking up a storm - and punching my bladder - all the 'usual' stuff!! DH hasn't been able to feel him kick yet, every time he puts his hands on me, Twerp settles right down (I know who's getting baby calming duty after Twerp is born!!).
How did you & your SO/DH meet. How long have you been married?
We met on Kiss.com - now Match.com. And one of our good friends actually wrote the code for kiss.com and we thank him profusely!! DH had 3 days of membership left before he was content to be single for the rest of his life - he'd had a series of Dud Dates and frankly was tired of the single scene. He reached out to me and we started emailing, then IMs, then phone calls. It took over 2 months for us to find a date that worked for both of us to meet - he was getting reade for motorcycle race season and I was a single mom with a more than full time job (and took 2 vacations in the middle of all of this!!). We finally set a date, I got a sitter, and we were both super excited, things had been going so well online and on the phone. My sitter cancelled last minute - that morning - and I made a rash decision: I invited him to have dinner with the kids and I at my TINY basement apartment.
That was 4/17/03, he proposed on 9/14/08 and we got married on 8/30/09.

Feeling pretty good right now, though starting to get a little uncomfortable. I've been married for 3 1/2 years and we actually met on Match.com.
Update: I'm having a few problems...severe swelling, blood pressure went up (over the weekend), terrible headaches, etc. I went to the doctor on Monday morning & had a blood test done to check for pre-e. Still waiting on a return phone call for the results. They complimented my weight gain (only 2 pounds in a month), which actually made me laugh out loud. I just feel HUGE! I was on bedrest until my appointment Monday morning. Since my blood pressure was back to normal, they allowed me to return to work. We only have two more weeks of school left and I am trying really hard to make it to the end. I guess chasing after my three bouncy boys doesn't exactly help! On a positive note...I saw a GREAT movie over the weekend. "Something Borrowed" was fantastic. I read the book (last summer) and thought that the movie was right on. I highly recommend!!
