Dose anyone have the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand On Tandem Stroller or just any other sit and stand? how well do you like them and do you use it often? Trying to decide what kind of double stroller i want to get... if i really even want to get one. I hardly ever use the stroller now; but it's something i feel i need to have just in case. DS will be 3 when baby is born and the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand On Tandem Stroller holds my car seat that i have so i could have both boys on it at once.
just wanted to hear other reviews or what you use.
Thanks!
Re: Anyone have a Joovy Stand On Tandem Stroller or any other sit and stand?
We have the Baby Trend sit n stand. We don't use it a ton but it is good to have when we go places where there will be lots of walking...like the zoo or a festival. My daughter wants to walk but will still get tired and it is easier to convince her to stand than sit in a regular stroller seat. It is also nice because I have actually had two kids standing on the back when they were tired...so 3 in the stroller at once. When my daughter was a bit younger it was also hard sometimes to keep her by me and I didn't want to chase her with the baby in the stroller too...so I had to option of strapping her to the seat too if need be... or warning her that if she doesn't listen and stay close she will have to sit in the stroller. This was especially helpful when dd2 was an infant.
So, I really like it and am glad we have it. My negative comments are that I don't think it turns too easily or goes over bumps well, but I found that with most double strollers. Also the front seat slides into recline a lot on ours.
We have the Joovy Ultralight Caboose, but have only used it with 2 children once and that was 2 toddlers. We bought it for our Disney World trip this past December. My daughter hardly ever rides in the stroller anymore and I thought this would be great since she can stand and ride. It worked for us. I like that it is lightweight and easy to push, turn and it's actually pretty small for a double. I don't like that the access to the basket is impossible if the child is sitting on the back and when you do use it you slide the seat back. I think it would be much more convenient if the seat flipped up instead of slid back. The hole is very small and you wouldn't be able to fit a big diaper bag in it. Forgot to add that the adapter for the infant carrier comes with this stroller, so you don't need to purchase it separately.
We also bought a Baby Jogger City Mini Double. It's still in the box though so I have no experience with using it. I got it on albeebaby when they were on sale a few months ago; not sure if they're still on sale or not. I plan to use this stroller for walks around the block mainly. I didn't get the infant carrier attachment since I plan to just lay the baby in there.
I plan to still use our Chicco Cortina stroller when we are out and about since the carrier just snaps in to it and my first daughter walks or rides in the cart.
