excessively sore muscles

I have been able to keep working out with a MUCH lighter and shorter running schedule and continuing with my group training, "bootcamp" classes.  I am finding that I am getting SO sore after every workout.  much more than normal.  Are other people having this happen to them as well?  Any secrets to treating the tired muscles?  I have had a pre-natal massage, but can't really justify getting one of those every day.  What about you?  Do you seem to have more soreness than normal?

  • I can't say that I'm having that problem at all and I'm lifting as much as I was pre-pregnancy. You could always use some Arnica cream as a topical way to soothe sore muscles. Taking a powdered magnesium at night should also help relax them.

  • I'm chalking it up to a combo of not eating as well as I used to (meaning, pre-pg when I followed a Paleo diet), and also not working out as hard/often as I used to.  Backing off the workouts for lighter weights & slower speeds at this point is definitely what my body is telling me, but whenever I do push it a little too hard, I do notice muscle soreness and fatigue setting in easier.

For example, MH & I moved a bunch of furniture on Saturday to clear out the to-be nursery, and I'm still feeling it today.
