Middle names aren't something we even need to think about. DH's middle name is his father's name, his dad's middle name is his grandfather's name, and so on, so if we have a boy, his middle name will be DH's name. It's his tradition and I think it's great.
I have a tradition where my middle name is my Godmother's name, same with my mom, so if we have a girl, her middle name will be after her Godmother.
I'm also in the camp that middle names should have meaning.

You always have the option of not having a middle name if none jumps out at you. We went with a family name (Monsieur's favorite uncle), but I'm of the opinion that you can really do whatever you want with a middle name. Have some fun with it. Go with a name that you think is neat, but would never use for a first name!
FWIW, I do like Owen Myles. It has a nice flow. Owen Archer sounds like a full name to me.
I agree with the PP that I like it when middle names (and first names, actually) have a special meaning to the family. But between your choices, I think Owen Myles sounds GREAT!

Re: ugh! middle names are HARD!
I'm the type of person that thinks a middle name should have some significance. That's just how it is in our families. And it makes it easier
I like both your middle names and think they both sound good with Owen. Does either of them mean anything to you?
