  Meh, if it's a temporary thing, I'd get him the LOTR style if that's what he wants. Then you can put your foot down when it comes time for the permanent ring & get something more classic.

  Unless this backfires and he continues to wear the LOTR ring forever.

  That's pretty funny, although I would be worried about him keeping it as well. If they are cheap, maybe get them both?

  DH has lost about 30 40lbs, his wedding band is a bit too big.  I got him a replacement, but that one fell off and is no where to be found. .

  I'm going to get him a titanium ring on ebay until he is at a steady wt and we'll size his real ring. 

  Do I pick out one I like? Or do I get him what I know he would like. 

  He's a HUGE dork and was saying he would love a Lord of The Rings style ring, but I rather get him something more classic.

  What do you think?

  Eve Addiction have some really nice inexpensive mens rings and they have a guarantee as well, hubby lost his when changing oil on a car at work and I got him a nice stainless steel band, and my self a concave one for when I worked in nursing homes. Hope this helps!
