I can't wait till my baby showers!! Not only will it be fun for "my turn" but I want to buy things, & aside from our carseat purchase this week b/c we got such a good deal, as of now we are trying to hold off on buying things till after the showers but they aren't over till 6/18!! It's totally silly but as a FTM I am so excited to have some baby things around the house -- seems so real now!! Smile

My showers aren't any time soon either. 2 showers are in June and one in early July. All we have right now is the travel system, still in the box, and a 6-piece ballerina layette we received yesterday from DH's aunt. I can't wait for baby stuff to take over my house!!!

Yep totally know the feeling. I also need to budget for what we have to buy. I did check my registry and was very excited to see our pack n play purchased, thanks to my mom! My shower is next Sunday so I have plenty of time to figure it all out. This is my 2nd so luckily I know what I need right away, and what can wait until later on...

I'm trying so hard to be good and not buy anything else until my shower! I have several out of town friends and family coming in for the shower too, so I can't wait to have a fun filled weekend with them!

Mine is tomorrow!!! I am excited. I too have been itching to purchase things for baby. And it looks like I will have a bunch of items to buy myself, so it will be nice to space it out over the next few months.

I feel ya.

My shower isn't until June, and I'm chomping at the bit to buy stuff and prepare for her arrival, but I can't really do that until after the shower.

I just want everything to be ready so I can sit back and relax (type A here).

I am starting to get excited too! At first I was a little scared for the baby shower, feeling that I would be overwhelmed with everything when I got home - but now that at least my mind is starting to put things in their place I am getting excited. That could be partly the organizational freak in me though

My shower was last weekend. We only got a few things off our registry and most were small things.

I was actually shocked at some of the things we didn't get... ie. bottles, burp cloths, hooded towels... yet we have enough receiving blankets for a family of 5. Lol.

My mom and I are going to complete the registry today. I fortunately got a bunch of gift cards so I'm excited to get the big ticket stuff. :]

as soon as wee found out we were having another girl we went out and bought her things lol. this is our second and we saved all the big things from our first like the crib and car seat and the clothes that we wanted to save. my family threw us a shower for the second because with our first we were in high school and didnt really do a shower, plus since we had donated and gave away a lot of our things to family and friends and other mothers we didnt realize how much we needed out of that lol. also too it was more a family gathering than shower but it was fun and we got some cute things. if you want to start buying things go for it like bottles and diapers and things youl need all the time. clothes with our first we waited to get because we had a lot of handy me downs and i didnt know how big she was gonna be but with this one we couldnt help ourselves we had to go shopping and get her a few things while we had the money to. the things i wish we would have bought tho before clothes were diapers and bottles and a bath tub but she still has a month in a half left after may is over so we have plenty of time to get more things ( i hope at least, our first was a month early but healthy and fully developed)

I am getting excited now. Mine is a surprise and so far I have no idea when it is! I just can't wait to see how the place looks, what the theme is etc. I also have no idea who is coming or not. I am just looking forward to good times with great people!!

My first shower is next Saturday and I'm so excited! I feel like I can start decorating and stuff once I figure out what items we still need after next weekend.

I definitely know how you feel. My shower is next Saturday.

So far we have purchased our crib (but no mattress yet) and have a few small things that I've picked up second hand or gotten a good deal on.

My shower won't be very big, since I've only lived here for 10 1/2 months and have no family around, but it should be fun

My Dad wanted to get us something big for the baby. Two days ago he purchased our car seat and the Baby trend snap n go stroller frame for us (our first purchases off our Amazon registry ).

I think I'm going to order the crib mattress this week, but will wait on the little things until after the shower.
