Hey ladies Im just curious about something and Im pretty sure its not a big enough deal to call my dr after hours, so I might call monday, but didnt know If I should even be concerned at all.
So I have gotten really tired and felt a little funky... I assumed that it was typical pregnancy stuff and It would pass and I'd get over it, I know Im not always going to feel great. BUT, a few weeks ago my dr had tried a medication for contractions and it was so bad I got really sluggish and had trouble moving and keeping my eyes open, I even passed out at home for 3 hours... finally woke up and called dr to say I wasnt taking it anymore and they told me that a big side effect was bp dropping... anyway, I have realized that a few times during the day I start feeling the same kinda way without the dramatic passing out. I get very sluggish feeling and its like a chore to breath and/or really move much, kinda feel like a zombie. Usually after too long or a nap it passes and I feel pretty normal again. I havent mentioned it to doc because well, i keep forgetting and ever time I go they say my BP is just fine.
Is it possible that when Im there its ok, but that it drops during the day? Or could it be something else... or is it just regualr pregnancy stuff that Im overreacting too?
I usually overreact so I try to ignore alot of things, but this is starting to bother me and feels a little off, compared to the typical feeling a little sluggish because I have no energy kinda thing. IDK.. Im not overly worried, but I also dont want to ignore something that could be a potential problem...
Thanks Ladies!
Re: BP problems... maybe... any advice?
Did you ever have your iron checked? I know low iron can make you sluggish (happened to me, now on iron supps) BUT, sounds a little more drastic than that. If it's a "chore to breathe and/or really move much" that doesn't sound normal. I wouldn't feel bad for so-called overreacting to anything during pregnancy. Being tired is normal but having absolutely no energy is another, IMHO.
Call the doc. Maybe see if they recommend a comprehensive blood panel. Who knows what's going on. Could be nothing. Could be something but worth the trip to get it checked out. Hang in there!
I do have low Iron for sure, which is what I had been mostly attributing this too, but I seem to have been feeling worse the last 2weeks, and my Iron has been rising so Im not sure If thats the whole picture although it most certainly could be. Im normally anemic and I think Im going to double my supplement to try and get it up faster, I went from 10.1 to 10.7 in 3 weeks
so maybe that will help me out, Id certianly rather that be the problem! Thanks
Also, My thyroid was actually checked about a month ago for another reason and everything came back normal, so dont think thats the cause.
Thanks for your imput ladies and I will call the office on monday and see what they think!
Thanks Again!!
