Carter's store vs. outlet

Do you see a big price difference between the two places? I have only been to the actual store once (In Rochester), but I thought that the prices were exactly the same?

  • there is no difference. They are the exact same stores. We have one in the outlet mall and one in a regular plaza and they are the same stuff, same sales, same prices.

  • Like melissa said, it's the exact same... there is no Carters "outlet."  Some people don't realize that not all stores in an outlet mall are actually an outlet. Only 50% of the stores need to be an outlet for the mall to be considered an "outlet mall"

Old Navy does not have outlet stores either, but are in probably most of the outlet malls around. They will sometimes do "outlet store" only specials, but besides that have the exact same merchandise and prices as any other Old Navy.

Really no Old Navy Outlet?  The Old Navy at Waterloo has different items and I have purchased items that actually say "Old Navy Outlet" on the garmet tag.  I wouldn't remember it, other than the fact it is the only time I have seen that clothing tags themselves.  I will have to dig out the shirts that I thought said that, maybe I am mistaken.  They are onsies type shirt with the front decal on the BACK on the garmet by mistake.

they used to have an outlet, but w/in the past 1-2 years have phased them out.

  • I have actually found that i can get some better deals on sale/clearance with coupons at macys or kohls over the outlets :)

its just a matter of looking through every thing.

the same "outlet" vs. non outlet apply to:

bath & body works, le gourmet chef and harry and david just to name a few  they are real stores not outlets.
