Re: Another Name Game (from the Aug '11 board)

  • I would be named Gabriella.  Not horrible and it's one Quinton actually suggested for this baby.

Just for fun, Quinton would be Jessie!

    #78 in 2010 is Bailey

    BLECH!

ETA:  My husband would be Joshua - which is his BFF's name, and his first choice for our son's name (I obviously won out on that debate!)

  • I can't play - my name has never been in the top 1000 names.  =(

  • Nicole was 6th in 1982. It was 122 in 2010. #6 in 2010 was Emily. A cute name, but not me.

DH would be a Joshua. Funny bc this last year was the lowest his very very popular name has ever been at 20.

  • Margaux is not on the top 1000 names for the last 32 years.  Maggie would be Emilee today - which I think is a 'unique' spelling, but I guess you could say that about margaux.

  • I would be Bailey -- I really loathe that name.

DH would be Mason.  So not him.

My given name is Katherine, and interestingly, it's only fallen out of the top 100 6 times in the last 111 years.  All during WWII era.

  • I'd be Alexis. Definitely NMS. I used my given name (Christina) rather than my nickname, and I was really surprised to find out it was No. 16 the year I was born. I didn't realize it was that popular.

  • I would be Emma.  Not terrible, but not me at all.
  • Christine was #43 when I was born (somehow I thought it'd be higher?) and so today I'd be Makayla.  Kinda interesting since my cousin just had her baby a month ago and named her baby girl Michaela which I'm guessing is the same name and different spelling.  Ooh and I get to visit them next weekend, yah!
  • FUN poll! I would be Abigail and DH would be Trent.  It's funny how Eli is such a popular name now but in 1980 it was ranked #344.

  • Mine would be Valeria and DH would be Michael. Wth is up with Valeria? It sounds like an STD or something. Ick!
  • imagedaves_sweetpea:
I would be Isabella.  Weird, b/c that was NOT a common name when I was growing up and now it's #1.  In grade school at least 5 of the 100 girls in my class were named Jennifer.  I will never give my child the most popular name of the decade!

    Damn that Twilight effect Wink

  • Miranda was #128 in 1981, I'm surprised it was that 'common'.  That would be Jada today.  Totally not me!
