I love looking at these lists. I figured Charlotte grew in popularity and it did. 68 to 45 this year. But I had no idea where Asher fell on the list. To my surprise it's not too terribly uncommon at 138.
I wouldn't be surprised if, in 25 years, the event that sets off the opening of the seven seals of the apocalypse is the marriage between a Jayden and a Nevaeh.

I have to be honest, I'm surprised that my boys' names are going down in popularity (and rapidly, too). Justin sank from 19th in 2000 to 50th last year, and Tyler moved from #10 ten years ago to #34.
There's no accounting for taste in some of those names.
Re: Top baby names 2010
I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to (unintentionally) offend anyone. Names like that are just NMS at all.
Am I the only one wondering whether the trending for Maci and Bentley are due to Teen Mom?

Apparently our kid's names are getting less and less popular...wonder what we will choose for Baby #4???
This exactly. How did Nevaeh make it to 25? There were more kids named Nevaeh than Charlotte...really?
That name is made up, it's "Heaven" backwards. It didn't even exist in the top 1,000 in 1999...then in 2001 it appeared.
It's interesting to see how that list compares to this list of Most Hated Baby Names.
DD went from #90 the year we named her, to #23.
Guess I should just be glad I didn't name her Isabella like we had originally planned.
What are you saying? What's wrong with giving your child the #1 most popular name? Hmmm? HMMMMM?!
