Even if you didn't necessarily regret where you went/what you did, if you had to do it all over again, with the same amount of money and time, would you go to the same place? If not, where would you go instead? YES, we would go there again (and we will). It was the best honeymoon for us!
Royal Caribbean Cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. 8 Days.
I had been to Cozumel before. DH had not. I had also been on a prior cruise while he had not.
We have not been back since.
We really want to go back. Not sure how that will happen any time soon now..
We had taken a big trip together prior.
HM was the longest trip we had taken together- 8 days.
We would not change a thing. We spent more cash on a balcony suite room and totally enjoyed it. Money well spent. I loved sitting out on the balcony. We did the more expensive excursions (~$200 per person, per excursion) and don't regret it one bit. The cruise was active when we wanted it and relaxing when we wanted to relax after a busy wedding weekend. We totally loved it.

Yep! We got to see the redwoods, the ocean, some fun cities, old hotels and beautiful campsites. It was perfect for us.

If not, where would you go instead? Hands down we would go to the same place. We had a wonderful time, stayed at an amazing condo and did nothing but relaxed on the beach(which felt like heaven!)

If i could do it all over again I would have saved the money I spent on the hometown wedding and used it instead on the cost of a destination wedding/honeymoon in one. Someplace tropical. Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico.

Was your HM the "biggest" trip you've taken with DH (however you want to define that)? I would say the "biggest" was about 4 months into dating when I traveled to meet his family. His family's opinions are important to him so I was really worried they wouldn't like me.

If not, where would you go instead? Yes. We met great friends (whom we still correspond with), it was a great deal and we had a wonderful time. All in all, I'd say it was perfect.

However, we stayed at another island called Moorea for a few nights before we went to Bora Bora. Ughh. I definitely would not go back to Moorea.
ETA: forgot to mention: We wouldn't go back to Bora Bora for 2 weeks. It's pretty boring. It was nice to relax and read for a few days, but we are pretty active, and there is not much to do there.

Although - it was REALLY busy...we've talked about if we had a honeymoon to do over maybe doing nothing but relaxation for a few days in Figi (much shorter) and then taking this trip for our one year anniversary. We felt a little like we needed a vacation from our vacation when we got back. Despite loving it!

DH planned the whole trip as a surprise to me (including 3 baseball games in 3 different cities...he's the fan) and I really did enjoy it but honestly would have chosen to go to some Sandals resort somewhere and do "nothing" the whole time. I was exhausted by the end from so much time on the road and always being somewhere new.

I would do it over, and over, and over. The cruise was great, it was easy, we had food and entertainment around the clock. Snorkeling in Catalina, Dune buggies in Mexico, bars all night and a full day out at the pool. It was great. I can't wait to do it again.

Do you want to go back? Any solid plans to? Yes. No solid plans but probably the next time we're in Hawaii (w/in the year) we'll dump the kids with my parents on Oahu and take a few days over there. We usually take a little outer island trip when we visit the folks in Hawaii.

Was your HM the "biggest" trip you've taken with DH (however you want to define that)? We went to Paris about a year or two after we got married.

If not, where would you go instead? Yes, we had a lot of fun sightseeing and enjoying the beaches and food. Best of all the travel time was short since we were married on Oahu.

If not, where would you go instead? I would not do my wedding at the same resort, or even with the same company, it was a disaster! However the cruise was perfect, I was thrilled with our choice, it was just what we needed after that stressful experience. DH works for the cruise line (corporate offices) so we actually cruise quite often

If not, where would you go instead? DH and I would love to go on a vacation but our focuses are really on the homefront. We are building our careers, starting a family, want to save up for a bigger more permanent home, and have more children. HM was nice, but I was pregnant then (lost the baby at 9 weeks), and didn't do any drinking or crazy stuff so the trip wasn't as exciting as I would have hoped but DH enjoyed himself.

If not, where would you go instead? Umm, I think I would have chosen the same place. It was very nice, relaxing and we took our son with us and he has a ball! We travel a lot, so this was a very nice and affordable trip for all of us.

If not, where would you go instead? Yes, we would probably go to the same place but maybe not the same resort? Sandals IS overrated ( I think someone else said that too about their Sandals in St. Lucia). We could have probably saved money going to a less popular resort and still had the same experience. The excursions were great tho! Def worth the extra money and the best part of the trip! (we climbed Dunns River Falls-amazing!)

Had you been to your HM location before the HM? No, we couldn't decide where to go. I wanted to go to Italy, but hubby wanted to relax on the beach.

Do you want to go back? Any solid plans to? I would love to go back, but stay somewhere different just to spice things up a bit. No solid plans, but with twins on the way I'm sure it will be awhile unless we go to a Beaches Resort.
Had you taken a big trip with DH prior to your HM? Yes, hubby and I have been traveling since we met 11 years ago. Vegas is our 2nd home since we go there at least once a year, but we've been to several parts of Germany, Paris, Amsterdam, Mallorca (island off the coast of Spain), & other places within the States.
Was your HM the "biggest" trip you've taken with DH (however you want to define that)? The biggest trip, no. It was our 1st "real" all inclusive and we LOVED that. The "all inclusive" in Mallorca just did not compare!!
Even if you didn't necessarily regret where you went/what you did, if you had to do it all over again, with the same amount of money and time, would you go to the same place? If not, where would you go instead? Yes, we would!! The only thing I would ask for is the whole day and a half back that we missed out on because we had to make an emergency landing not long after we took off due to engine failure. (We were even interviewed by several local news stations). I was so disappointed that there was no amount of refund from the airline or the resort, but at least we had a great time and we came out alive!!

Do you want to go back? Any solid plans to? I'd love to go back, but the horrendous plane trip home that we had has kind of turned me off to flying small airlines. We'd have to take a different airline next time. We don't currently have any plans to go back.

If not, where would you go instead? Yes, I think we'd go to the same place. We had a blast and the sense of relaxation we had there was amazing. I'd fly a different airline, like I said, but yeah, we'd do it all again.

No, I'd never been to Hawaii but my husband was on Oahu for a short time when he was in the Navy.

No, we just got married last year. Haven't quite had a chance to go back yet!

YES!! I am in love with Hawaii now. It's beautiful. I'd love to visit some of the other islands as well.

Yes, he took me to New York and New Jersey to meet his extended family before our wedding. I had never been before so it was a pretty big deal for me!

Without a doubt!!! I loved Hawaii and I loved Oahu. I can not wait to go back as soon as possible.
