So I remember womancake started a post like this a while ago. I feel like today is a great day to let each other know why we appreciate each other so much. So, join in, and give some warm fuzzies/high fives to the most recent replier to this post. Let's get started with WOMANCAKE since she started the last one.
Compliment Womancake to the point that glitter comes out her vag! Then wait for someone to glitter-vag you up! Now go!
Re: Throwing out the warm fuzzies--get your sparkle pants on
Okay, I know someone said earlier that they don't like the phrase LOL, but I am *actually* cracking up, laughing out loud over here! My vag overfloweth with glitter!
NEW RULE--I'm throwing out the compliments to anyone who posts. But I'm not a part of the game. This is not me fishing for compliments. I am just trying to spread the love.
Jennifer--I was really impressed with you and your DH's financial responsibility/saving habits on that financial survey. You guys are on the ball and I am very envious of that.
Womancake--I appreciate that you will disagree with people not in a defensive or argumentative way, but truly with the attempt to gain/share information. I think that kind of attitude helps this board stay so civil and still talk about real issues.
All you ladies make me want to vomit rainbows of happiness. In addition to those previously mentioned.
Pina makes laugh and I appreciate her point of view and I can always remember how to spell her screen name.
I'm not playing! No comments about me. And is it just my 12 year old sense of humor, or does "I'd totally bff you" sound dirty?
Ashley--I appreciated that you wanted to stand up for the underdog. When a bunch of people share the same opinion, it's hard to feel like you can voice your own.
You are the recipient of The Balls of Steel Award. Carry on.
I love Brit, I really do. She sent me a PM once out of nowhere and it totally put a skip in my step. I love giving people skips, so to have someone give me one was really so nice.
And Womancake is one of my top girl crushes.
I f-love this board. So much.
Ohsaysay-- First of all, I always wanted to say that your screen name reminds me of the song "Maps" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And I love that song because I can NAIL it on Rock Band. Is that where it's from? Or something else?
Anyway, Ohsaysaysay, I wish I could remember a particular post you've written, but this girl is SHARP. I know you've made several posts where I've thought, "Whoa. She is smart. She's got something to say and she knows what she's talking about." I really respect and admire intelligent people and I can tell you are a smartypants.
Thanks! It's tough sometimes because there are a lot more "fun" things I would like to spend that money on, but we're trying to be responsible
Knowing that we're saving relieves some of the stress I feel about our big student loans from law school haha.
Monuments and cookies for everyone who keeps everybody straight.
I'll admit it, even though I use signatures to figure out who is saying what on threads, I have a hard time associating it with screennames and remembering those. It goes along with my weakness at remembering peoples names.
More cookies and monuments for people who consistently say nice and supportive things. I aspire to keep up like you do.
Sorry Brit--I'm a rule breaker.
You. Are. Hilarious. AND I remember getting semi-flamed for something stupid I posted when I was fairly new to the board, and you sent me the nicest PM. So 2 points for you.
Luckily I've been doing my kegels, because when I read that I would have peed my pants if I was not up-to-date on my kegels homework. What can I say. I've never been called the poo before. Being called the poo makes me want to pee.
Mrs.K-- I am very jealous of your travel list. Seriously jealous. You are obviously a worldly girl and I think I would totally love a 2 hour dinner explanation of your travels complete with pictures. Oh, and also, your sense of humor. LOVE. If I was making a frozen banana, and after putting the banana on the stick, I didn't know what to do next, I know that if I asked you PUT IT IN THE WHAT PUT IT IN THE WHAT!?!?!? that you would totally tell me where the banana goes next.I don't have one for any poster in particular but I just want to throw out that I love that this board is a lot like family. There may be some fighting but it always ends up warm and fuzzy!
September Mom's rock and deserve a little glitter-vag!
chandwy11 has a BEAUTIFUL kid and always keeps it real. I always pay attention to advice from current moms like her.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are my favorite band!
I would except that I'm in my new profession as analrapist muahahahahaha
OK.
Womancake is always so balanced even when broaching sensitive topics. I also love how she stands so firmly on her decisions but doesn't judge at all.
Brit cracks me up daily. I agree about the bff thing....wait....have we established if that is something dirty yet?
MrsMVM and Pina are 2 of my tops as well. Always so supportive and thoughtful.
Jennifer is VERY impressive and sweet, I agree with womancake and brit. She makes me want to be a better adult, teach me your ways!
hoot179(who has the most gorgeous eyes), lily87, and camdenfaithful are girls I always get excited to see their posts.
I keep having to go back and add em, I love you all, it's hard to list all the reasons why. Shout out to everyone!
Is me. Seriously.
Chandwy- omigoodness, you are so so so beautiful and so is your little guy and your posts are always zingy and real. I miss you when I don't see you on the board for a couple days.
Aww, thanks! Funny, because I read your posts and think...Damn, I didn't have my sh*t together like that before having DS. I had no idea what I was doing and you have a very practical approach. Plus, I hate the name Dustin too!
I totally feel like I was flying my judgmental flag a little this morning on the UO post, but thanks for saying that.
And to you, my dear, I'm pretty sure you have *the* cutest bump ever, and you always look so stylish and put together. And, like MrsMVM, you tend not to involve yourself in the controversy/drama, and I need to take notes from you.
Yo, MrsMVM, can you believe this chick just said she wants to punch you? Are you gonna take that?
Veronica: right back at you!
Womencake: love your unique perspective that keeps things moving around here.
Brittney: You get your point across and are never nasty or rude. Sarcasm used correctly goes a long way around here!
See that's the best thing, you *think* you are coming across as judgmental but you aren't because you are so conscious of everyone having the right to do things their own way. At least that's how I see it.
Just want to throw out there that there is nobody that I don't think highly of. I may not always agree with what people say, but it does not change my respect for you.
MrsMVM- so genuine
Womancake- you have got your girl's backs quicker than anyone else on here
lmjt- keeps it real, very supportive
Brit- funny as all get out
Ar87- my sister from another mother
JMG- so intelligent
Pina- my fellow book geek
Veronica- very fairminded
Kuraks- I heart animal lovers
How many are we allowed to name?
I love all of you, but a special shout out to:
lmjt - you are so very practical and no BS. I like your honesty and always value your opinions/advice.
Pina - I like that you will stick to your guns, no matter how controversial. Kudos.
MrsMichelleB- great sense of humor
Jo&Matt- such a group cheerleader
thefannins- gives such really great advice
nanmyers- doesn't get involved in too much of the drama
I think I am just going to keep adding as I think
Aaaah! I just had a big long reply and my computer went fritzy.
So, my DH will always give the side-eye to anyone who says I'm happy and nice and positive. BIL used to always say that and he was like, "Well, not always." But I do try. Life is a gift, and when good things happen, I'm reminded of that. Like this board- you guys quite honestly just fell into my computer and my life, and made this special time in my life even more wonderful. I love you guys.
Pina- you always always always say what I am thinking, and you are never mean about it- but you never kiss azz either. And, I love your smile in EVERY bump pic. You are just loving that bump, and it's contagious.
Veronicafvr- if and when I have a baby girl, I want her to be like you. Not only are you so pretty that you honestly take my breath away, but you are so so sweet. You're like a people magnet. I love that.
I also want to shout out lmjt. She's just my girl. Adore.
And mollybloom- you are so smart and so nice. I love the point of views that you bring into things. And your questions are so insightful.
PS: I am 'watching this thread' for whenever I need a pick-me-up.
