xp: Side-sleeping/belly-sleeping & diaper leaks

Sooo frustrating!  DS has become a rolling machine the last few days and has now decided he likes sleeping on his side and on his tummy.  But every time his diaper leaks!  We finally got him sleeping really good again, and the last 2 nights he's woken up with a leaky diaper.  Last night he slept like a rock on his side from 7-4 am and woke up at 4 soaking wet.  I had to change him, his sheets, get him calmed down and back to sleep.  I've already gone up a size in diapers, should I try overnight diapers?

    I don't have any experience in this, although I've been thinking about trying overnights too.  I just wanted to say that Jackson is so cute!

    This is one of the many reasons we use cloth diapers. D is a heavy wetter and he sleeps from 8/9 to about 6/7 with zero leaks. Disposables just don't hold well for him at all. He also likes to side sleep/belly sleep.

    Noah likes to sleep on his side and belly too.  I heard from a friend that if you put a gauze pad on their penis to hold it down they don't seem to have as many leaks up the front.  N only seems to leak on his belly, so far its worked for us!  HTH!

    So CDs work better for you overnight? Do you use a doubler? We CD during the day but use disposies at night, on the theory that they won't feel as wet... but she pees right through them if I don't change her at her early morning feed. We just went up a size and I was hoping that would solve the problem, but it didn't, so I was thinking of giving nighttime CDing a whirl...

    Oh yes! They work marvelous. At night time I have found that goodmamas (you can get some cheaper ones on hyenacart spots corner) with a blueberry or thirsties cover work the best (out of what we have for a stash). Also bumgenius with both inserts inside the pocket and a liner inside get him through the night. A hemp liner inside helps keep him a little dryer feeling against the skin and I also slather his bum in CJs butter from the tub to keep the actual pee away from his skin. He doesn't seem to mind the actual "wetness" and is only grumpy when he wakes up if he doesn't have his bottle right away.

    Awesome, thank you!! We use BG, so I just ordered some liners and we'll give it a shot tomorrow. I HATE changing her diaper when she wakes to feed (which she does once a night most of the time nowadays) because it just wakes her up more, and she's pissed that I'm not feeding her right away!
