Be honest...!

My mom sent out shower invites last week, and I've noticed a few nice purchses off of mine already! Crib mattress (MIL), infant seat, PNP, two different bouncers, diaper bag.... and a few other stuff too...

Is it bad that I feel like Im going to become addicted to checking it?

I noticed most things get purchased on weekends so I limit myself to checking on Sundays or Mondays

DH and I make a game out of guess who got what... we are usually dead wrong.

I actually don't at all whatsoever. When my mom said she put the invites in the mail I quickly went on to make sure there were no mistakes anywhere. I haven't signed on since.

I have a shower this coming weekend and next weekend. I've stalked it about 1x per week and feel guilty every time! Today a friend at work said she bought stuff off the registry but Target didn't take it off. Then another girl said Babies R Us didn't take off her items either. I wanted to say that I see things that are "bought" so it must work sometimes, but didn't want to let everyone know I was snooping.

We are registered at Target and BRU. We have already had two showers, you can't tell on the registry. One shower I had was a joint shower and both the other moms were due in May so we had it in April. And I am high risk to go early so my MIL had one last weekend and my final shower will be on the 14th.

Really not looking on purpose but:

1. When I was trying to see about using a coupon for our bedding several weeks ago, I saw something was purchased! (our bedding wasn't included in sale - boo!)

2. A friend just told me last week that she has an item she said she hasn't used much so will just give it to me so I went on to delete it & saw something was purchased.

3. We went on today b/c H & I decided to use BRU coupon & purchase our carseat b/c we saved $32 plus paid less in tax!!

This is me too. I looked at it once to check on an item a friend got and said she didn't mark it on my registry, so I did it for it. But other than that I haven't looked at it and don't plan to. It would ruin the surprise!

Let me make an argument for occassionally checking -- sometimes stuff becomes unavailable. The crib we want went out of stock everywhere on Friday, and I saw on Saturday, so I found a store that had one left and bought it.

But yeah, mostly it's a bad idea. My family shower is Sunday, and not much has been purchased, so serves me right.

Never. But, if 1) knew when my shower was and 2) people knew about my registries I'd be checking it all the time. LOL! I hate surprises and would totally peek at every opportunity.

I do know I will have a shower though. I will stalk once people know I have the registry.

My rationale: you don't know who buys the things for you, so you are still surprised.

I'll admit I check it once every day. My shower is next weekend and I'm just amazed at all the stuff that has been purchased already. I figure I registered for the stuff, so it's not like I'll be surprised at the shower when I receive something that I already sort of asked for. I just can't help but check it.

I look at mine a couple times a week. I feel quilty but anxious to know. Once it gets closer to the shower, I probably won't look at all. I did the same thing with our wedding registry.

I've been bad about it too! However, I don't know when my shower is. I do know a lot of my bigger items have been purchased already (one the day after I set up my registry). So that has me excited, however I have no idea who purchased them (except for one, my Aunt kind of gave it away what she was going to get me because the high chair I wanted was discontinued since they came out with new patterns). I also did this with my wedding shower (which also was a surprise) and oddly enough even though I checked it all the time I still had NO idea when my shower was and was extremly surprised when I showed up to it!
