These haven't sounded good at all to me, so I haven't ate any....BUT My doctor told me if I was to go to subway, just to make sure they toast it so they heat the meat. So, yeah.
My OB told me it's okay to have meat heated to steaming, but she did say she would try to stay away from places like Subway because the meat does sit out for a long time. However, if you go to Jimmy John's you can get the AWESOME vegetarian sub (ask for no sprouts, as we can't have sprouts either) and it's sooo good!

Just like everyone else said you can have heated up deli meat, it only needs to be heated for a few minutes to kill off any possible Listeria.
It is still a risk to eat cold deli meat from your grocery store. When they recall deli meat b/c of a Listeria comtamination, they never say we only sell contaminated meat to sub shops but the meat we sell to the grocery store, we make sure that's not contaminated......

Raw sprouts seem to have higher bacteria contamination levels than most any other fruit or veggie. I still eat them, but only when I buy them for myself at home, and I wash them really well. And once they're cooked, they're fine.
