25 weeks? I am trying to see how I compare. I see posts all the time about people NOT gaining weight, but I was curious to see if I am above or below average. I've gained about 20 lbs so far. I was unable to exercise for a few months because of nausea, but I never threw up, so I kept on gaining!

I feel better after reading this. I had my appt. yesterday and I have gained like 19 lbs. It's weird though, I don't really look like I've gained anything more than in my tummy. My doctor hasn't said anything about my weight gain so I guess he isn't worried. I feel bad for people who's doctors scold them when they gain weight.
My doctor didn't exactly scold me, but he didn't seem thrilled, either. Lol. He just said that it was fairly normal to gain a lot in the 5th month, but that I shouldn't gain 9 lbs every month from now on. HAH! I guess that's what the difference was in my last two weight reports... Although come to think of it, the last time I saw him was in the early morning right after my ultrasound. I had basically nothing in my stomach. This past time was 3 in the afternoon, so I had just eaten a good hearty lunch! Surely that counts for something, right?
Oh, I totally forgot about this factor... That's true. I started out small, so I figure I can gain 30-40 lbs. I have only gained in my tummy (and my boobs!), so it surprised me that I gained that much!
I am not quite up there yet, but I put on a good 10-15 pounds already because I could not do anything in first tri and am having a hard time in 2nd tri because of my hips hurting so bad. My exhaustion has not gone away. So I am hoping things start looking up soon, so I can go to the gym more. I was doing really good before I got pregnant.

Jealous!!!
Mine was 7 in the last month!!
I, unfortunately, have gained 20lbs (23wks). But my doctor hasn't complained and I think since I quit smoking plus I don't have a thyroid when my hormones get low I pack them on. Oh well, i really need to eat a little better. It will be an on going struggle throughout this pregnancy since it feel like all I want is sweet and cold.
Good question! I feel like everytime I read weight posts I hear about how much people have lost too and then I feel HUGE. I'm 17 weeks today and have gained about 10lbs. (5lbs in just the past 2 weeks (blaming easter for most of that).) Been walking and riding horse still and don't really feel like I'm eating extra. Doctor hasn't said one word about my weight, so I must be acceptable for her!!! I was hoping to only be gaining an average of 1/2lb/week though, so I'm a little high for now. I was slightly overweight to start with (or at least on the heavy side of average weight), so I'm trying to watch weight closely.
By 25 weeks I put on 30lbs. Probably a few extra by now.
I just got back from my 22 week appt. and I have gained 13 lbs. with 7 of those lbs. being this last month. I kind of freaked about that, buy my doc laughed, said I looked beautiful and that was it. I don't feel beautiful. I fell like, well, that I gained 7 lbs. in a month...haha.
Go Phils!!
Almost 27 weeks and I've gained 20 lbs
my doctor isn't concerned at all. I think it also depends on where you started before you got pregnant. I was overweight before getting pregnant (I could have afforded to lose 20-25 lbs) So I think that might have something to do with it.

I'm 23 weeks and have gained 6 - my doc also only wants me to gain 20. I don't know how I am going to go the last 17 weeks and only gain 14 lbs -- seems almost impossible to me!

I'm right there with you. I'm 14 weeks and up 18lbs already. I was small to start with and never threw up so I've been steady gaining.
