Period cramps but no period?

Late last week I had 2 or 3 days where I was having pretty constant period cramps. They were bad enough that I needed to take a couple Advil. Pre-preg I always had really bad period cramps, so I figured this must be a sign that AF was on its way back. But it never showed up, and now the past few days the cramps are gone.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas what it could be? I haven't had the "afterpains" (from the uterus shrinking down) since a couple weeks PP, so I don't think it's that...

    YES!! And I'm just as confused as you are as to what they could be. I keep waiting for AF but nothing yet. I'm still wondering if it has something to do w/ BFing since it supposedly causes contractions/cramps. Maybe LO is eating more so cramping is more intense?? I have no idea Tongue Tied

    I have had the same cramps!  Everyday I assume I'll see AF show up because of the cramping and nothing yet.  I've been feeling the cramps off and on for about a week and a half.  Not a clue as to what it could be.

    I've heard that it's still possible to ovulate without getting your period if you are BF'ing and that you can sometimes feel cramping with ovulation.  I have no idea if there is any truth to this or not.  I've had the same period cramps too but no period here either.
