Strep B ? for those that have had it done (possible tmi)

I know its a quick and usually painless process but my question is this Back at the begining of the pregnancy they did a pap test the lady who did it made me bleed quite a bit for about 2 days, She also assumed I bled everytime we had sex etc. and wouldn't believe me when I said I had no issue. I think when those forceps went in she scraped my wall to hard as it did hurt.

anyway my question is do the use those again to get the sample or do the simply swab the outside slightly inside area? I have a different DR taking the test this time so perhaps it wont be so uncomfortable but I really don't want to bleed again as it makes me panic.

Did any of you bleed with the test?

I'm told it's more of an external swab. Not a cervical swab.

My friend did it herself, I have heard that this is common (performing the test yourself). I think it's a mostly external swab. Others will have more info. I haven't done mine yet.

This. My doctor said it will be vaginal and rectal swabs, not cervical.

I had it done when I went into the hospital for my BP. I didn't realize that's what it was at the time but found out it was. It was just two Qtips connected, they didn't use any forceps, they just quickly in like 1 second stuck it in and the other grazes against your butt, it didn't even graze my actually anal area (sorry if tmi), and it was all done. That was it!

Had mine done while i was in the hospital. It external. vagina to rectum. didn't even really feel it.

i just had mine done it was more external ( they also swab part of your bum) so if they hurt you this time, then i think they seriously have an issue..

Had mine yesterday..This is exactly how mine was done.

I did mine by myself also. It's really easy and not painful at all.
