Does fertility meds = longer periods?

I just had my first cycle on fertility meds (Femara) and holy long period. It was about 9 days long! And it was not spotting towards the end. It was medium flow, and then today it shut off.

Is this common on fertility meds? It is hard to know if I had a thicker lining this time, since I have never had a midcycle check when I am not on meds. My lining this last cycle on Femara was 12 mm.

 

Thoughts?!?

    My IVF period was just as long as usual (5 days) but holy hell was it heavier than usual.

    Friends for 15 years. Married 8. TTC since January 2009
    2010 Diagnosis: Anovulation and Severe MFI
    2011 Treatment:
    IVF w/ICSI #1 Antagonist: 2 blasts - c/p - BFN 04.22
    FET #1: 1 blast/1 early blast - BFP 06.22 - m/c 06.30 @6w0d
    07-11 RPL: MTHFR C677T Heterozygous & Slightly elevated ACLA IgM
    FET #2: 1 morula - BFN: 9.02

    January '12: IVF #2
    Started BCP and Metformin (New!) 12-14 for stimming in January

    ?SAIF/PAIF/PgAL/PAL always welcome?

    I figured mine would have been heavier, but not longer. Mine was a pretty consistent "medium" flow for the whole 8 days, and then just turned off like a faucet. I know that it makes logical sense, but was wondering what others ladies experience. Thanks for sharing yours!

    For me the only meds are one cycle of clomid and and about 8 or 9 on progesterone suppliments.  I noticed AF is maybe a little hevier on progesterone but mine were always really lite.  I'm talking use maybe only two tampons the whole time light and then just panty liners lite.  And now I might use three or four.  But it's the same length....about three days of "flow" and one to two days of spotting.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
    IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
    BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
    Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
    JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN
