Why are some faded and some not? Why do some have red arrows?

I feel stupid asking but asking seems like the easiest way to find out. I've been curious for a long time. Thanks. )

The faded ones are posts that you have already opened. The red starred ones have been viewed a lot ( not by you but by the people on the board).

Because someone else looked at it after you

So if it's not faded that means there os a new response.
