breastfeeding 2nd time around

So I tried to breastfeed my daughter but it didnt work out so well. It hurt really bad and I just couldnt do it. I dont even think I lasted a week. Now im about to have another little girl in September and I think I would like to try it again. Does anyone think its gets easier with the nest child I know the reason it hurt is because she never latched on properly. Should I try it again or should i just give it up?

    My breastfeeding experience was soo much easier the 2nd time around.  I think you should definitely try it again if you're thinking you might  like to.

    Find a LC ahead of time to help with your latch right away.  It still will hurt for the first few weeks,  but much easier the 2nd time around.  I used a LC with DS2 even though I made it 9 months with DS1.  Every baby is different.

    SOOO much easier this time.  I tried my damnedest to BF DS and he lost 20% of his birth weight in two weeks.  I don't know what happened.

    DDand I have been BF comfortably and successfully for a month now.

    thanks everyone I am going to try it again. I had an LC the first time but I dont think I ever really got comfortable with her. I am going to take a class beforehand and meet with the one at the hospital I will be at so hopefully it'll be much easier this time
