I'm having a really hard time (me, mentally) having to place my LO in a crib. We have the Angelcare moniters, but I am so scared of something happening to her in her crib that I want her to sleep in her swing forever.. I know I shouldn't though.

Re: Switching from swing to crib
The crib is safer. Swings aren't even approved for overnight sleeping (I forget what the certification is).
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
DD still sleeps in her swing at night. We are trying to transition to the crib also (her delay, not ours!)
If your LO can roll over, she can probably roll back. Even if LO stays on tummy, she will turn her head to the side. It's not like she will sleep face down in the crib. It's OK to be nervous, but if you can make the transition to the crib now, I think it will be easier.
I can see what you're saying. It sounds safer, but depending on your baby I dont' think it is. My daughter can now almost flip our bouncy seat & she was in a swing the other day &almost flip out of that. She's pretty active. With that said I know the worrys with a crib. I didn't get breathable bumpers & my daughter rolls everywhere both ways & to top it off is a stomach sleeper. I got a video camera & it is SOO nice. IT helps me when I wake up at night & can see her without worrying, if her face isn't out & is facing down I sneak into her room & put it to the side. It has helped soo much. I may get an angel monitor for our next & use both but for me a video monitor is REALLY helpful!
I have learned that its normal to freak & pretty much they are ok. If I second guess I wait in the room for awhile to see how she can breath & listen to her. So far so good. This is a recent thing by the way, we used to swaddle her, but she is def. more of a stomach sleeper & was done with the swaddle esp. since she wants to be on her belly, not good with a swaddle.
My daughter sometimes does sleep face down, I have caught her a few times, I just put her face to the side.
