I need Dr. BOTB

Monday Claire had her 9mo check up. Dr saw that she what looked like the beginning of an ear infection and started her on antibiotics. Several days before that she had a runny nose and a cough. She started the antibiotic and since Tuesday or Wed she has been pretty clear.

All of a sudden about an hour ago she got a fever out of nowhere. She is still playing, but is intermittently becoming whiney and snuggly. Her fever was about 101.2, and I gave her Tylenol. She feels warmer than she did before, but am trying to hold off checking it again.

Related to her previous sickness? Something new? Random fever? I usually don't get weird about stuff, but I figured since she is on an antibiotic any sickness stuff should be under control. Am I missing something?

    She does have another tooth popping through. Hmmm, may that is the culprit.

    Also my pedi says that sometimes teething and ear pain/irritation go hand in hand.  He said the increased mucus/fluid can get trapped in the ear, as well as the teething pain can radiate into the ear area.  Never heard of it before but makes sense.
