Pregnant after a Loss

Vegetables taste like dirt

Seriously.  Like the very dirt that they grew out of.

I think my tastebuds are broken.  I know I should be eating more veggies, but every time I try it feels like I'm chewing on cardboard.  Doesn't seem to matter if they are fresh, frozen, etc.

Anyone else?

Re: Vegetables taste like dirt

  • I typically have a very veggie-heavy diet and love veggies and fruit.  But for the past couple weeks I feel like I have had to choke down whatever veggies I prepare for myself (or what DH packs in my lunch) as I have no taste for them!

All I want is carbs - but that won't help baby or me, so I continue to grin and bear it!

  • Before I got pregnant with DD we would eat salads everyday with dinner and after I found out I was pregnant it made me gag every time I thought about it or tried it.  I just wish that veges sounded good!  All in all I hate to admit I didn't eat much of them and she turned out perfect!
