I always see everyone posting about amber necklaces, but I don't know much about them. Is it only used for teething? When should I get one? Is there anywhere in particular I should purchase one from?
For DS I use his amber necklace for teething. For me, I use one for headaches. Both necklaces are from Inspired by Finn. There is a lot of good information about the whys and hows of wearing amber on her website. I started using one for DS #2 when he was about 4 months old. And now that his third tooth is on the way I can tell you how much better teething is going (in that we have hardly needed to use any other pain reliever) than it went with DS #1.

Yes originally we got them for teething. However a side bonus was that we could tell the twins apart easier when they were running around. We're going to lose that advantage now. Connor learned how to take his off. Little bugger!

DD wears one and I think it helps her! She still drools a lot and we have to use Tylenol occassionally but I think it's less than it was before we got it! I ordered it off of Amazon. I'd suggest getting rounded/polished beads instead of "chips".
