really! spending $4 more on a test is going to put you out of house and home???
Supposedly her pregnancy has already been confirmed by a doctor so there really is no need to continue to test. I'd say go for the cheapies if you want to test to make yourself feel better. But what ever floats your boat.
I got a faint 2nd line on a DT test, bought a First Response Early Result and had a much darker one.
FTR, if someone is TTC for a few months, the more expensive tests add up. I got some cheapies to satisfy my curiosity, and shelled out the cash for the FRER to confirm my BFP.

I loved going to Dollarama and grabbing like 6 tests for 1.25 each when TTC. I could POAS whenever for fun, and they showed my bfp clear as day!
If I spent 10 bucks on a test, that would be 10 dollars each month if I tested only once a month. With dollar store tests I could test every few days if I wanted without breaking the bank.
Hmm... Worked just fine for me with both pregnancies. I'm gonna' have to say you just got a bad batch.

I have pcos and before I was versed in charting i would pee on a stick 1 or twice a week, since I never knew when my period was supposed to come. Needless to say, it would've been an $80 dollar a month habit... Dollar tree hpt was what confirmed my bfp so I am a fan.

It was a JOKE, But spending $4 more on a test does not equal a more accurate test. A HPT is a HPT is a HPT.
I literally laughed out load! I couldn't have said it better my self!
