My husband and I have been TTC since April, 2010. I have a very irregular cycle. I have been on two rounds of 50mg of Clomid, with no luck. I have my super hormone shot ready to use this coming month. I am having to do treatments every other month because my insurance won't pay for TTC procedures. I don't really have the full support of my dad and step-mom and I hear a lot of "you're young" or "well remember what happened to me - that was bad!" or the worst "I'm sorry." I am happy to say I have the full support of my best friend and my mother. And i am happy to have found this group.
Question: If the rounds of Clomid and shots don't work, what is the next step?? I have been tested and my ovaries are healthy. but it seems I have a follicle problem and that my body may not be responding to the Clomid. I am going to start 100 mg next month. What are your thoughts?

Are you sure that it's entirely you and your irregular cycle? Has your husband had a SA done?
Are you charting or do you ovulate on your own? I ask because it will help to know if you're on clomid to even out your cycle. Sometimes long cycles can be due to hormonal imbalances.
Just trying to get more info to help you out! IF is definitely a long and difficult battle. It really stinks that your family isn't entirely supportive, but it's nice that you feel comfortable enough telling them. Mine still have no idea we've been TTC for over a year.
I'm sorry you're here but welcome. Are you seeing a RE or your OB/GYN? If you're seeing an OB/GYN, make sure they're monitoring you properly with bloodwork and ultrasound when you're using Clomid. If they're not, I would recommend finding a reputable RE in your area.
Usually if you don't have success after 3 rounds of a certain treatment protocol, your doctor will switch things up. I would imagine your next step may be a few rounds of Femara (Letrozole) or injectibles if you don't find success with the Clomid. GL!
ETA: Ditto what the PP said about having a SA done your DH/SO. Also, have you had a HSG to make sure your tubes are open? Are you doing IUI or just TI at this point?

This pretty much gives you all the info to answer your questions. I stress the fact that you should be monitored by your doctor for Clomid and to make sure you have done all the test that need to be done on you and your husband before spending alot of money and time on treatments that might not work. Good luck and welcome to 3T.
