Good morning ladies. I was just curious who is working up until their delivery/due date and if you did in the past how did it go?
I am a high school teacher and Im getting a little nervous because my due date is a week after we start the second semester. I am just hoping that I can make it through finals (end of first semester-I will be 38-39 weeks).
I know the baby will come when he wants to but Im just a little worried about the situation.
Re: Working up til due date-who is with me?
I'm due on Friday and this is my first day off. I think I could have worked today....it's just nice to be home. Since it doesn't count against my maternity I am going with it.
Good luck!
Moi.
I am hoping to go until my due date b/c I'm a p/t student and the semester ends three days before my edd.
I plan on working right up till I go into labor. My mother who is a nurse (which is a physically demanding job as we all know) literally worked her 3-11 shift and came home and began counting her contractions while eating a cheesburger after her shift when pg with me.
I work a 9-5 job so my situation wouldn't be like hers, but I want as much time with the baby so don't see the point in taking off before she comes, just to sit around and wait...I'd go crazy. That's just me though.
My due date is 12/22 and I plan to work until this baby is born or Dec 31st - which ever happens first
As long as I can handle the office I don't see any need in taking the time off.
as of today I am working past my due date...
I plan to stop one way or another on Wednesday though. My doc will be inducing by the end of the week though
I will be working until I walk through the doors of the hospital. I got myself set up to work from home when needed so that I can do that. If I am being induced I will even work from home that day until I head in.
I want the max time with our little one...I don't want to use FMLA time to wait for her.
I'm with you! I have two weeks until EDD and I was doing pretty great and didn't think I could get any more uncomfortable until I woke up this morning!
We can do it! Or so I keep telling myself....
