International Travel

Just wondering if there exists any kind of discount on international airfare for US military members/dependents. Google hasn't helped much with this.

TIA!

Re: International Travel

  • I know when we travel airlines don't make us pay any luggage fees, but you can try calling the airline to see if they offer a discount.

  • Unless you fly Space A you probably won't get much more than free luggage check.  Sometimes Expedia offers like $15 bucks off for Military but that's not much =oP

  • i know traveling on official orders we get free baggage depending on the airline it is up to 3 pieces weighin no more than 50lb ea per person on the orders.

  • As PPs mentioned, we always get our baggage free, but we've also gotten upgrades on flights that weren't fully booked before. Usually to get a discount you have to call the airline itself and not use travel sites.
