NBR: Nook Color

If you have not gotten this you MUST. It is absolutely amazing! I can now see me sitting up late nights BFing with this in my hand. So much easier then a magazine or book.

If you do have it does anyone have anything they would like to suggest to me? I just got it today.

  • My friend has it and says she prefers it to any other reader out there.  Unfortunately, I'm not the reader I should be..so no suggestions. Embarrassed

  • I got one for Christmas and I LOVE it. It's so nice to take to my dr appointments and I think it'll be nice to have at the hospital.

I'm reading The Hunger Games series and also Two Kisses for Maddy. I don't recommend Two Kisses for reading in public. It makes me cry.

  • I JUST confessed to buying a Kindle :)  I tried the NC in store and I found it to be a little heavy.  But that's just me :)

    This!

And I'm between books right now and trying to force myself to read a baby book (Happiest Baby on the Block) instead of a fun book but I could use some suggestions too.

I just got done reading the Hunger Games books.  But my favorite books are actually prehistoric fiction novels (they take place thousands of years BC and involve hunter/ gatherer peoples).  Sue Harrison has a trilogy that starts with Mother Earth, Father Sky and it is hands down one of the best stories I've ever read (and I've read those books at least 3-4 times already).  Jean Auel's Earth's Children series is a bit more well known series in this genre.  The first book is Clan of the Cave Bear.  I highly recommend either of those.

  • Do any of you share the books? I find this feature to be quite cool. The only book I have bought so far is "Water for Elephants". I can't wait to read it. I got a few apps for me and DD and for some reason I can't find any of the books that are supposed to come with it.

I love that I can also surf the web and bump :) if I am in a wifi spot. This really is a pretty neat thing. It is a bit heavy but I never looked at a Kindle.
