Were your "mommy vibes" correct with the gender?

I've been getting really strong vibes that we're having a girl, but I know dh is wanting a boy since he has 2 girls already. I've always wanted boys too, but I really don't care as long as the baby is healthy. Have your "mommy vibes" been spot on or not so much?

I was right both times. With DS, I was told I was having a girl. I said the tech was wrong and everyone said I was crazy. No one doubts my abilities anymore, lol.

with DD i knew from the second i found out i was pregnant. i think this one is another girl....we will find out next month!

Yes, right on the money for me! I *knew* we were having a boy right from the moment I found out I was pregnant even though I really wanted a girl! When the u/s told us it was a boy, I wasn't at all suprised!

EVERYONE in my family and dh's family all think it's a boy, even going and buying boy clothes for us already so I was starting to think my mommy meter is jacked up. lol

I was right both times...when I found out I was pregnant the first time I said from the get go that it was going to be a boy and I was correct. This time around I was positive that it was a girl and after my normal mid-pregnancy ultrasound (which we didn't find out the gender) I said that it was a girl and four weeks later I had another ultrasound to see some items that were missed and the first thing we saw was a confirmation that this time we are having a girl. I go with my gut feeling each time and I am right.

Mine were right on!! As soon as we found out we were pregnant I "knew" we were having a boy. We found out on Monday that I was, in fact, right!!

My "mommy vibes" were right on with our first two boys. I'm due with #3 in Sept. and have NO CLUE as to what it could be. NOTHING. Not a hint in a dream, or a sign, or even a preference for one gender or another. I've got nothing. This one is TRUELY going to be a surprise to me.

But, of course, since I already have two boys, I KNOW that with my luck I'll have another boy. HAHAHA!! That is probably the only feeling I have right now. That "just figures" thinking. ; )

Somebody should do a clicky poll to see how the numbers break down. I had read that mothers intuition is correctly predicts the sex 70% of the time, better than the 50/50 random guess. I wonder if the real world numbers would be close. I'm not so sure about my own ability to predict, I was initially thinking boy, but chinese gender prediction and angle of the dangle would suggest a girl and DH thinks it will be a girl as well. I've got at least another month to go before the next screen, hopefully will find out then.

I was wrong, but my husband was right. So much for my maternal instincts. However, my subconscious knew better because a week before we found out the sex I had a dream that the baby was a girl. It's still the only baby dream I've had this pregnancy and it went against everything I was feeling and all OWT.

With DS I was not sure but with DD I knew from the first week I was pregnant she was a girl. I just had a strong feeling, I don't know why. I guess you have a 50/50 chance either way

Mine couldn't have been more wrong! From the minute I saw my BFP, I was so set that it was a little boy! And all the OWT pointed to boy, and everyone around me (including DH & I) were thinking boy....

Absolutely NOT!!! I was ready to paint the nursery blue! Everyone told me girl and they were right! I could see that right away and I have no US reading skills. I hope I am better at mothering than predicting babies lol. I did read somewhere that mothers are usually right 71% of the time. GL

I'm a first time mommy but from the beginning I thought for sure it's a girl, DH always thought boy. Then a few weeks ago I had 2 dreams with LO and it was a boy in both so now I'm strongly thinking boy and catch myself calling LO "him". I wonder if my DH influenced my dreams and thoughts on it though. I'm so curious to know if my original instinct was correct or if my dreams were.

I would trust the mommy vibes. I knew about week 3 that I was pregnant and it would be a boy. All the signs also pointed to a boy, and all the grandkids so far are boys! Both DH and I really wanted a boy so it works out great. Big Smile

With DD #1, I don't remember feeling one way or the other, with this one I was pretty sure we were having a boy, and everyone around me was insistent that it was a boy. My pregnancy is completely different, I'm carrying different, my skin is different, etc..but, low and behold, another girl! So I, and everyone, was way off this time!
