What little white lies have you told your LO's pediatrician? Mine is very by the book and does not have children of her own, so I'm always scared of lectures
I have only lied by omission. When asked where DS sleeps the answer is in his crib in the other room which is true. I however leave out that on occasion he bed shares, I don't need to hear his opinion. My neice has exclusively been in a family bed since birth and my nephew now has joined the bed. True they live in Japan where it's standard but she's just fine and while it might not be "normal" here, I'm positive DS won't be ruined by it. Most medical opinions of bed sharing are a bit obsurd if you ask me.

This is exactly one of the things I don't speak up about. She asked where LO sleeps, at the time, he slept in a PnP and we were trying to transition to the crib. Her exact words "he sleeps in his own bed, on his back, with no extra blankets, right?" suuuure, always...
The transition to the crib just so happened to be around his 6 week growth spurt and sleep has been awful. I never planned to have him in our bed, but we all sleep much better. I still try to put him down in his crib every night but usually around 3 or 4 he ends up in our room.
At our old pedi's office (we just switched) we were asked every time we went in there if our water heater was turned down to 100 degrees or below. I lied each time and said it was. I had never considered this to be an issue until they brought it up and it is definitely something to consider in the future but for now I don't think DS will be playing with the faucets for awhile.

I was actually very surprised by my pedi's opinion on bed-sharing (we ended up bed sharing with both our kids). The first time, I tried to skirt the issue when DD was a newborn, because we were desperately trying to get her to sleep in her PnP, but couldn't get her to sleep without us. He is older, and pretty conservative, so I assumed he would be against bed-sharing. To my surprise he basically told us America is one of the few countries where bed-sharing is uncommon, and that I'd be surprised at how many American children bed-share with a parent or sibling at some point in their childhood.
I don't know that I lie about much to my pedi, because he is only looking out for DS's well-being, but if it is about a parenting matter, I wouldn't hesitate to lie if I knew he was against it, like bed-sharing, breastfeeding past infancy, or discipline issues

I haven't lied (yet) LOL DH is very anti lying even when it's for our benefit... Sometimes it's like if the cops ask us where we were at, or what we were doing just don't answer, let ME tell them so I can lie LOL (not really)
Anyways I'm glad I haven't been asked where LO sleeps (shes been sleeping with us)

Wow. I our pedi. She has 3 boys herself, so she is pretty on board with whatever works and definitely is just concerned about him healthwise. When she asked where he slept, I was honest and said "whatever works and dont be concerned about rolling over on him, you'll be more aware of him than you realize"
I'm kind of shocked that the pedi would ask where LO sleeps! Mine has never asked us, I don't think it's something medically relevent anyway. She does sleep in her bassinet though. She started out in bed with us, but that only lasted a week because I couldn't sleep since I was overly aware of her.
I lied to the pedi yesterday about DD's vitamins. She wants me to give her Poly-Vi-Sol daily, but I don't because I take a prenatal vitamin still. I'm looking for a new pedi because mine isn't very bf'ing friendly. Everytime I've taken DD she stresses that bm doesn't have everything in it that DD needs and vitamins are essential unless I switch to formula.

Oh yeah, mine also wants us to do the vitamin D drops since i'm EBF. I take prenatals & extra D but she says thats not good enough. He hates the drops & I don't give him bottles everyday so I can't always mix it in. Oh well, we go outside every day
