trying not to worry

grrr, it's day three now that LO hasn't really moved as much as he did when i first started feeling it, and i'm trying so hard not to worry. i think he might have moved back because i have to pee way more than usual, and when i do feel him, it's a lot softer than before... i dunno.maybe i'm just a worry wart

Re: trying not to worry

  • Dont worry! he could be in a different spot or facing inward making movement less frequent.. You dont really have to worry about movement until third tri..Most OBs dont even ask for kick counts these days as long as movement is felt..but being only 19-20 weeks its normal to go days without any movement or very little.

  • I'm in the same boat... not nearly as much moving around as I was feeling a few days ago. The past couple days have been almost still except for a few bubbles here and there.

But, at my u/s that wasn't even a week ago, LO was moving around a ton and I couldn't feel it, plus, I use my doppler every day and the heartbeat is nice and strong (plus the heartbeat moves around). So, I'm sure it's fine and normal.

  • I don't feel Alivia move everyday but some days man she kills my bladder. She is so low it hurts to sit because I feel like she is literally in my bend LOL.

  • I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry.  My friend told me that she went days at a time without feeling movement and she now has a beautiful, healthy, 10 month old.

  • thank you everyone! i try try try not to worry, but it's so hard.
  • I'm the same way.  I started feeling my baby move about a week and a half ago (more than just flutters) and now anytime I go through the day w/o feeling anything (or rarely feeling something) I get worried and think something is wrong...everyone says it's normal...just depends on baby's position.  They still have lots of room in there, so they could be squirming away and we just can't feel it b/c we're not getting kicked/punched.

  • I echo both the worry but also the re-assuring that LO probably moved or is perhaps having some quiet days.  For a couple days last week I felt really regular rolls and taps.  Then over the weekend hardly anything.  Today more taps/pokes so it is certainly inconsistent at this stage but I understand your perspective.
  • I'm so thankful for this post... been having same issue for a couple days... I feel better already :)

  • Just to add to the chorus, I had my 20 week YESTERDAY and was having the same worries.  LO was not only fine but wiggling around like crazy but I couldn't feel a thing.  He/she was facing sorta downward in breech.  Try not to worry too much!
