I think you said you had them for your girls...we got our son one for Christmas and just used it this weekend.

Did you have a problem with the side straps?  Our are really small and won't fit around his waist (and believe me, he's not a big kid).

    I did the same thing and was like, "uhhh. she's only 12 pounds this can NOT be too small for her". Then DH pointed out those straps are actually to hold the cover onto the seat. :)

    You have to screw on the straps that go around their bellies. . . If you aren't using the other ones that go over their shoulder and then up the crotch. 

    Hope that makes sense. Have fun with it!
