BIG BOY bedroom set?

It's about that time for Oliver to trade up to a big boy bed.  Where did you get yours and who makes it, etc.  I need help!  DH wants us to get someone from Ikea (he's cheap) and I want to get something that will last.  Thanks!  Valerie

    We initially purchased an Ikea loft bunkbed that comes with a tent. We liked it but did feel it was somewhat limiting. When we moved we decided to just purchase an inexpensive twin mattress and boxspring set. It is perfect, I do need to get a headboard but honestly I am glad we did not splurge on anything very expensive.

    We just did a twin bed from pottery barn kids. He will have his bed forever. It's good quality and the wood color we can match with other furniture later. Plus we only need a mattress since the bed doesn't need a box spring. We didn't do anything else through except some cube bookcases from target. Once he gets older we'll do a desk for him. Plus if we have a 3rd baby, he will have to share a room with Bryce so we didn't want to get a brunch of furniture that wouldn't fit in the room once they were together.
