it sucks ![]()
the commute is mostly the culprit.... he's gone from 7am till 7-7:30pm. by the time he comes home we have to rush through dinner, her bath, then he'll feed her while i pump, finish housework and get ready for bed. by then i'm ready to pass out. i feel bad that he only gets an hour or so to enjoy her (well, when she's willing to be enjoyable lol) but only having another set of hands for barely 2 hours a day sucks.
Re: anyone else's DH work long hours?
:Blog:
Yeah. DH is gone from noon to 11pm. He takes her in the mornings for daddy time from about 8:30 until 9:30 or 10 when she needs her next feeding, but that's all he gets with her all day; she's in bed by the time he gets home.
It's hard doing the evenings and bedtime routine by myself, but it is what it is...we've always worked through his crazy schedule and doing it with a child will be no different.
Life of mrsjanks
Yes, SO works overnights and 12-14 hour shifts. He leaves at 4pm and often isn't home until 5-6am. LO's current routine is to sleep from about 4:30am-10am so we really don't all see each other except for weekends.
Thank goodness my mom has been staying with us since LO was born and has been a huge help to me, getting meals prepared and keeping up with laundry.
