I know there are alot of underage babies here (ahem...like mine), but I've noticed that many are getting veggies before 6 mos. Our pedi recommended just rice cereal until 6 mos., so that's all I've been doing once per day. Is my pedi old school?
What did your docs recommend? For the record, DD is a peanut (12.5 lbs at 5 mos., so that may be a recommendation just for her?)
Re: Sort of an xp: What are your 5 mos olds eating?
Has Noelle doubled her birth weight yet? I don't know about all pedis, but mine said that was important before starting solids. Also, Maddie was basically lunging for my food and drooling everytime she watched me eat. Based on all of those factors it was reccomended we start solids other than just cereal.
We did cereal for a week...she took to the spoon just fine but always got seriously mad that I was giving her what she thought belonged in a bottle on a spoon. Veggies and fruits have gone over much better.
