Two Under 2

Hi Ladies! I'll be joining you!

Hi all!  I just got a BFP a few days ago and WOW!   DS will be 1 when the new baby is born.  In fact, his birthday id December 24th and DC is due December 23rd!   I am excited, but yes, very scared.  It took us 3 years and fertility treatments in order to conceive the first time, but this was unplanned- to the point where DH and I only baby danced late in my cycle (CD 26, and I Oed CD 30!) thinking that with my PCOS we were in the clear.   We wanted a second child, especially close in age, so this is really a blessing.  We are both older, though, I am 35 and he is 49.

I really have a question and I am hoping that someone can help out.  Is there any kind of medical risks of having babies so close together?  I excerice (almost at pre-preg weight) and I eat right.  I started prenatals again.  But is there anything else physically?  Are you more likely to have an incompetent cervix or low birth weight babies?  I don't see my Dr until next Tuesday.   TIA!!!

  • Mind boggling to go from infertility treatments to 2u2 (or almost 2u1 in your case!)

I could barely wrap my mind around it.

It took me a while to move past major denial.  Like.... driving to the hospital for my section and STILL not able to believe we were about to have another baby (we were told the chances were quite slim even WITH another IVF cycle).

    Congrats to you!

    GL!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
