Saw this article in the Wall Street Journal today and thought it was informative on a topic that crops up here from time to time (and other boards all the time).
Title of the article is "When a Cuddly Crib Puts the Baby in Danger"...

Re: Informational Article on Baby Bumpers and Other "Stuff" in Baby's Crib
A good friend of mine lost her grandson to SIDS. We help her with fundraisers and educating mothers to be in the area. This is the pamphlet we hand out at events and every OB office in town gives to new mommas.

I was just about to post this. I am so glad I scrolled down first lol.
I thought this was a great article and it has me rethinking about my baby's bedding. I might not register for bedding at all and just do simple crib sheets and a mobile. The bedding is so expensive and and you can't use half the stuff in the set!
