Anyone use a swing instead of a bassinette?

Can I use the fisher price snuggabunny craddle/swing in lieu of a bassinette in our room?  I don't know why this just dawned on me?  Has anyone done this for the first few months of your LO life?

    We used ours, but FWIW, not all babies even like swings.

    For a while my son refused to sleep any where else but his swing. Every baby is different though

    I don't recommend it.  My DD hated her swing (we have basically the same one - just the Little Lamb version).  She would scream every time I put her in it and to this day it is the one thing I wish I had never gotten.

    She would sleep in her bassinet and crib without any fuss though.

    i wouldnt do that. if you dont want to use a bassinet try a pack and play.
